How to be saved

Do You Know 100% for sure today, that if you died,
you would go to Heaven?

Yes
No
Not Sure ?

The first thing we have to establish is :

What, or who is the authority. Everybody says they believe what
their opinion is.. or what their Church believes. They argue
and fight about what is right, and what is wrong.

God only wrote one book that tells us what is right and what is
wrong. He proves His Word is true in many ways.

The Bible was written by men who were guided letter by letter,
word for word what to write. The Holy Spirit controlled them.

This is what the Bible says in 2 Peter 1:20 “Knowing this first,
that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private
interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the
will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the
 Holy Ghost.”

This verse teaches us that the bible is not any man’s opinion.
Or any man’s private interpretation.
The were “moved” by the Holy Ghost.

So.. God guided these men, the Holy spirit wrote the bible
through over 40 different men, that is why it has only one mind,
one design behind it. The mind of God. How could a book
be written by the mind of men that has 40 different authors,
written in three different languages, over a period of
1,500 years? That is impossible!

God proved, He authenticated His Word, by writing things that
will happen many thousands of years into the future.

These are called “Bible prophecies”.

Significance of predictive prophecy.
1.	Concludes that there is a divine intellect behind the
Old and New Testament.
2.	Establishes the fact of God.
3.	Authenticates the Deity of Christ
4.	Demonstrates the inspiration of the Bible

For example, there are over 300 prophecies and types about the
Life of Jesus Christ, written many thousands and hundreds
of years into the future.

He was to be born of a virgin.
1.	The prophet Isaiah said He would be born of a virgin
some 745 years before it happened.
Prophecy: Isaiah 7:14- "Therefore the Lord himself shall give
you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
and
shall call his name Immanuel."
Fulfillment: Matthew 1:1

2. He would be called Son of God.
The man who wrote Psalm 2 wrote it about 1000 years in advance.
Prophecy: Psalms 2:7- "I will declare the decree: the LORD hath
said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee."

3. Jesus “family tree” had to be of the Seed of Abraham,
Son of Isaac, Son of Jacob, out of 12 tribes, He had to be of
the Tribe of Judah, out of thousands of families, He had to be
of the Family Line of Jesse. this was predicted by many
different prophets and writers of the Bible over a period
of thousands of years.

4. Of the thousands of places He could have been born ,
it was prophesied He would be Born at Bethlehem.
Predicted by Micah the prophet 750 B.C.
Prophecy: Micah 5:2- "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah,
though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to
be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old,
from everlasting."
Fulfillment: Matthew 2:1- "Now when Jesus was born in
Bethlehem of Judaea..."

Of the more than 300 prophecies about Jesus, there are
47 major ones, concerning His life and death. The science of
Mathematical statistics tell us the odds of this happening in
the life of one man are 1, followed by 180 zeros.
1,000,000,000.. 180 times..
Wow!
Impossible to calculate.

Do you accept the bible as the ONLY authority, as far as what
is right and wrong?

Church traditions many times contradict the bible.
The bible is always right, not what the Pope, Priest,
Church or Pastor says.. if it contradicts the Bible.
Then they are wrong!

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY!

In the beginning..
There was only one way to be forgiven by God.

Jesus created the Heavens and earth.

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not
any thing made that was made”

These verses say that Jesus is God, and that Jesus was
already there in eternity, with God the Father, in The
Beginning. Verse two says He made all things.
So, if He made all things, then He has the power and the right
to make the rules, right. That makes sense.

Before sin entered the world.

In the garden, Adam and Eve walked with God. God only told
them one thing they could not do.
Genesis 2:17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil, thou salt not eat of it: for in the day that
thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

God loves us, and He wants our love. Love is a free choice,
God gave us the ability to make choices, we are not robots.
Adam and Eve bought sin into the world when they disobeyed
God and ate the forbidden fruit. The were eternal beings,
but now began to die. There spirit died, and could no
longer fellowship with God. God is a Spirit (John 4:24).

This why we have death, sadness, pain, disease, hate war,
lust, rape, murder, in the world. Because of sin.
Romans 5:12 says “ Wherefore, as by one man sin entered
into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon
all men, for that all have sinned:”

Why ALL are born sinners.

When Adam disobeyed God in the garden, God took His Holy
Spirit out of him. His spirit now could not communicate
with God, because Adam's spirit was now dead.
(God is a Spirit John 4:24) His body began to die.
The wages of sin is death. This is the source of all that
is bad in the world, sin.
You and I receive our blood line, we inherit what kind of
blood runs through our veins, 100% from our father.
The sin nature , that which is inside of us and makes us
rebel against God, makes us selfish, makes us unable to
please God, is inherited from our father, and passed to
every single person.

We do not think we are sinners.. until...

When we examine our lives against God's perfect standard,
absolute Holiness, pure love, we realize we have a sin
problem. This is the purpose of the ten commandments,
to show us we are law breakers and need a Savior.
Examine your entire life against the Holy law of God.
If you have ever broken just one of these commandments,
in your entire life, then you can not go to Heaven on
your own righteousness, you must be punished in Hell
as a lawbreaker.

You need a Savior.

James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also,
Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery,
yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law."

The Ten Commandments.

1. And God spoke all these words, saying:
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of
Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
You shall have no other gods before me.

2. You shall not make for yourself any carved image,
or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the
water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them
 nor serve them.

3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain,
for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name
in vain.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

5. Honor your father and your mother.

6. You shall not murder.

7. You shall not commit adultery.

8, You shall not steal.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10. You shall not covet (desire to have for yourself=covet)
your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s
wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox,
nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

A Scale..?
Many people have this idea that when they die, there will
be a scale, a balance, and the good things they have
done in their life will be measured against all the bad
that they have done. If they have done more good than bad,
they think they will be allowed into Heaven. this is not true,
this is not in the bible. Our entire lives will be measured
against the Holiness of God, He can not let one sin into His
 presence.

This is why Jesus was born of a Virgin. His Father was God.
Mary’s egg provided the body. His blood was sinless, it was
the blood of God Almighty in His veins.
Jesus never sinned, one time in His life. This is the most
amazing thing about Him. Not one wrong thought, ever, not one
wrong action, ever. His entire life. If He had sinned, He could
not have died for OUR sins, because He would have had to pay for
His own sins. But He was without sin.

He knows what it is like to be tempted, He is our High Priest,
yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest
which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities;
but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
1Peter 2:22 says “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in
his mouth:”

Now, let me explain God’s plan of redemption, the only way He
has to be forgiven and not have to go to Hell.

It is thorough FAITH in a blood sacrifice.

Genesis 4:4 “And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of
his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto
Abel and to his offering:”

Adam most have instructed Abel, his first son, in what sacrifice
to make to God. (Or God told him.) He brought an innocent lamb
and killed it and burnt it on an alter as a sacrifice to God.

Now, until Moses gets much clearer instructions, this is God’s
plan of paying for sins. All these animal sacrifices, are a
picture, a symbol, of what would happen thousands of years
into the future when Jesus “God’s Lamb of Sacrifice” would die
on the cross , suffer the price for all of our sins, one time,
forever, and for all., with His blood.”

Hebrews 10:10 “By the which will we are sanctified through the
offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering
oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins
for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;”

God can not and will not ignore our sin. Because He is just,
He must punish sin. Because He is Holy and good, He can not just
overlook sin. His righteousness demands justice. The sinner
must die. (Romans 6:23)
Jesus died for every man's sin, every man who ever lived.
He shed His perfect , sinless blood to pay the price for my
sins and yours, so I do not have to go to Hell. He was buried
for three days and nights, and then arose from the dead,
proving He paid for every sin that has ever or will ever be
committed.
He will be your judge
Or
He will be your Savior.

Do you realize you are separated from God because of your sin?
God is a Spirit. We are born with a "dead" spirit. (Ephesians 2:1)
That is why we must be born again. John 3:3

There is nothing any person can do to earn forgiveness for
even one sin. We are all dependent upon God's mercy, He loves
to be merciful and show His goodness and love and forgiveness.
If we repent, turn from our unbelief and ask Him to
forgive us, He will completely forgive us forever.
But..
We must accept Jesus Christ as our Savior by faith.
When I was born again in 1979, I bowed my head and asked the Lord
 to forgive me
And to come into my heart and save me.
I trusted God's promise written in Chapter 10 verses 9,10 and
13 in the book of Romans.
Here is just one of many promises.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
verse 13 promises- "For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved."
God promises that if you call out to Him in faith, He will come
into your heart and save you.

Where ever you are right now, would you like to bow your head
and ask God to forgive you and save you?
